5.00am. I suggest an early start today heading off to Angkor Wat for the Sunrise.
To avoid the big crowded, I would suggest you to keep continue our morning tour to the beautiful Ta Prohm (Tomb Raider) temple which was made famous by Angelina Jolie. Feel like one of the early explorers as you visit this temple which has been left to be reclaimed by the jungle. This is a very special temple and the early start makes for a spectacular experience.
Head back to the Hotel and enjoy your breakfast & take a break before heading off for a day of temple explorations.
The tour to day start again at 9.30am, we start our Angkor temples adventure with a visit to Angkor Wat easily the most famous and best-preserved of all temples within the Angkor complex and a magnificent ancient archaeological wonder of the world from early 12th century.
Then we move farther a field to Banteay Srie temple the most beautiful carved temple in pink color during the magic hour time will make Banteay Srie temple even unique and peaceful. You will experience the deep and detailed carvings of this wonderful temple, a rich part of Khmer empire built in the 10th century.
Lunch is Khmer style in a local restaurant. Enjoy a spread of great local food followed by a nap lazing in a hammock, or explore to see the traditional way of life and say hello to the Cambodians dining there.
We then move on to Angkor Thom city, Bayon Temple, with its 54 towers decorated with more than 200 enigmatic smiling faces, Phimeanakas, Baphoun, we will continue the trail to the Terrace of the Elephants and finally, Terrace of the Leper King. along the way we will stop at the very photogenic South Gate of Angkor Thom City where the gods and demons line the road leading to the gate representing the struggle in a cosmic tug-of-war. The Gate itself is crowned with four large faces each facing the cardinal directions.
End of the tour. Return Back to the hotel.
